Hope Taylor finds his groove with the right producer. Sometimes that's what's needed. He a very soul/blues kinda performer, and original in his phrasing. Love his style. He'll get rewarded in the long run.

u can sing good have feeling n be amazingbut one thing to have soul and he has a load of iti like it its like oldschool. n let me FREAKING TO TELL 2 those saying he didnt' " make it" look YOUR SINGING prowess as nothing 2 do with being marketiblethere r signers n actors who make milliions and they are NOT GREAT. n there r so many others outthere who r better. britney, rhianna, maddona, shakira, katy perry they dont sing amazing, others sing better yet look they make millions. so sush

I love Taylor Hicks and all he stands for and I love his singing style. He's definitely a cut above the rest and quite frankly, he has the most soulful voice I've heard since Ray Charles. A brilliant performer and entertainer. Can't wait to pick up his new album on March 10!

mizzkitty, you are obviously mistaking commercial success with artistic quality. Taylor is a great performer, singer, songwriter, and musician. The fact is he won, he deserved to win, but he was 30 when his first record was released,singing a style that was popular 30 years ago, so he never really had a chance to be a pop idol. But since you asked, "Do I Make You Proud" was the #1 song of 2006 and the last song to debut at #1 on the Billboard hot 100.

I am glad that you enjoy the people you mentioned. They are good as well. I am saying that I like Taylor best. I am sure of those you mentioned you must have a favorite. I was just expressing an opinion. Perhaps Taylor's hit is yet to come. He was on a timetable for releasing his first album. So hopefully with the next he will have some better songs.
