Thanks for the great recipe "Vah Reh Wah"! It will an added dimension to my tandoori recipe. The cooked tandoori chicken also tastes great when broiled for about a minute or two on both sides at medium heat. It gives it a charred look and taste just like the tandoor. Don't leave it in the broiler. Stay put all the while and enjoy the delicious tandoori....yummmm :)

190-204 degree celsius or 375-400 Farenheit.

I've been told its better if its marinated overnight. I made a double batch today and it was great but i cant wait to try the second batch tomorrow. I'll let you know :)

I used to work in an hotel restaurant owned by an Indian family and once a week all the ladies would come in and cook an Indian buffet which included this dish. It was wonderful but they never would give up their recipe. I tried your version tonight and it tasted as good or better than what i remember. I followed your recipe with one exception, i couldn't find fenu greek so i omited it and it still worked great. I made a double batch and have the other half marinating in the fridge 4 tomorrow.

how weird iv looked at loads of recipes for tikka and all sorts of indian food but was convinced tandori would contain a spice i hadnt used. what spice out of all those is different to create the tandori taste i just dont get it
