The only technical singer I've ever heard do that would be the other David, so I'm assuming that this is a dig towards him? And if I'm correct, I think he's mentioned something about some vocal cord issues? I'm not entirely sure, but I think it was something like that. And I know that it may put some people to sleep, and that's what I meant that it's sad that society today can't appreciate and listen to truly talented voices. And how have my posts been over the top? Please, explain.

Hey lay off! It's not David's fault he gasps. He has freaking vocal cord paralasis, something you don't have to worry or know anything about. When you get vocal cord paralasis and can't breathe that well while singing or even talking sometimes, then you can talk about it.

Paulphins, what you consider pure and amazing might be might put some people to sleep. At least he doesn't GASP when he sings (I've heard some so-called technical singers do this, and it is annoying).Again, one can not take your comments seriously or as opinion, because they are over the top and not believable.

Per your first paragraph, I agree. However, I do think it's pretty sad that we live in a world where people appreciate over-produced voices rather than truly pure, amazing singing. But I understand. "Cook desecrates music, he has some, un-enjoyable stage presence, he writes crappy music, and yes, he does have an absolutely horrendous range with his voice." There, fixed that second part for you.=)And it's all opinions(even what I just said). Maybe it doesn't read that way, but it's opinions.

Yes, I agree that there are better technical singers, but that is not all there is to being a musical artist. Many may find Cook's voice beautiful to listen to and a so-called "technical" singer very boring. I can find such a voice in my local church and I doubt if I would buy their record.Cook loves music, he has great stage presence, he writes music, and yes, he does have a beautiful range with his voice. A comment fails to look like an opinion when one's purpose is just to bash. |
